Project Ready is an evidence-based standards plus practical tools program specially designed for and unique to the Urban League movement for the purpose of getting African American and other urban youth ready for college, work and life. The program focuses on preparing 6th-12th grade students make academic progress, benefit from cultural enrichment opportunities and develop important skills, attitudes and aptitudes that will aid in their transition from middle school to high school and position them for post-secondary success.
Project Ready STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) is a program for middle and high school students Project Ready STEM prepares African American and other urban youth students for STEM related careers through experiential-learning and career exploration and mentorship. The program addresses the low attainment of high school and post-secondary graduation amongst this population by providing on-going discussions and workshops to ensure students are developing at grade level and have the skills to be successful in post-secondary education.
